(1907) Hecla Uncle Heck TerryUncle Heck is a very rare Hecla. He is mohair, stuffed with woodwool, with felt paws. His nose needs a stitch! This company began making bears to be Americas answer to the successful German Steiff bear. The company made their bears to be almost identical to Steiff bears, they even imported the mohair from Germany! Yet, the company did not advertise much and was out of business in two years. These adorable and handsome bears are very hard to find!

There is little information on these particular bears although I feel they are very distinctive to identify

At some point during his life the poor boy lost his arms

He is a lovely colour

Mohair is worn and torn

legs and head are all in good order

Twist his tail and his head turns
