This is an extremely nourishing food source easy to digest and amazing source of protein. Most of the tempeh you can buy in the stores has been pasteurised so if making it isn't for you look out for frozen tempeh which is usually made fresh and frozen straight away. For that reason it is a worthwhile

so you can ferment anything from  pickles

Either sit it on your bench overnight or pop in the fridge to ferment -  that kefir culture will go in and eat the lactose from that milk and make more lovely fresh milk kefir

Enjoy the milk kefir as is - or - to multiply it - empty your milk kefir pouch into a clean jar or bottle - and add up to 500mls of milk and ferment it further for 24 -48 hours

A wooden chopstick is ideal for swirling and separating the milk from grains after fermenting
