Nose: A lot of oranges, beeswax, fresh butter and yellow flowers but also a little white chocolate and then mint, apple peeling, moss and mushrooms.. A little ginger and porridge. Mouth: Smoky, wonderfully nutty and roasted and very gingery as well. Quite some lemon as well and then a lot of pepper. Grows a tad powerful after a few seconds, so lets add water now (while the nose got more mineral and smoky): excellent development, it got

just a little bit of spiciness

with a good balance of fruit flavours

The two spirits are then blended together by Grand Marnier's master blender: 51 percent cognac and 49 percent orange liqueur

It can rightly be described as particularly fruity and velvety

The overall effect is both inviting and elegantly nuanced—a sensory prelude to the whisky’s deeper layers
